The bubble of gender equality in Mao society

A gender-equal society doesn’t differentiate its member based on their gender. Kofi Annan rightly pointed out that gender equality is more than a goal itself, it is the necessary steps and process for a society to move towards prosperity and harmony. No society is truly peaceful and harmonious when a section of its members are discriminated and their needs neglected. Gender equality is thus a Fundamental Right guaranteed in the Indian Constitution through Article 15 and is to be read along with other fundamental rights and Directive Principle of State Policy . It is also stated in Preamble in the form of ‘ Equality of Status and Opportunity ’.
